About The Event

THEME: THE ROLE OF CREDIT SUPPLEMENTATION INSTITUTIONS IN SUPPORTING MSMEs RESILIENCE TO ECONOMIC REVERSALS AND IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE

The Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC), which was founded in 1987, is the largest Asian Cooperative body for the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). It has 12 member countries with 17 member institutions. The objective of ACSIC is to promote the sound development of the credit supplementation system for small businesses in the countries in Asia, excluding areas in the west and north of Pakistan, through exchange of information, discussions and interchange of personnel among small business credit supplementation institutions. The ACSIC aims to achieve this objective through the conduct of its annual conference and training program.

The Philippines, through the Small Business Corporation, is hosting the 28th ACSIC Training Program (ATP) on September 23-27, 2018 at the Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City. With this year's theme “The Role of Credit Supplementation Institutions in Supporting MSME’s Resiliency to Economic Reversals and the Impact of Climate Change”, the 5-day training program shall focus on strengthening the collaborative relationship among the member institutions and their mutual cooperation in achieving the goals and developing future directions to support SMEs and ultimately contribute to the economic growth in the region.
